Real-time browser-based screen-sharing platform with zero installation, built for seamless peer-to-peer collaboration.

Laptop Party is a real-time, browser-based screen-sharing platform designed to eliminate the friction of traditional meeting tools. Unlike platforms that require downloads, sign-ups, or camera presence, Laptop Party enables users to instantly share their screens with others using just a link.

The system is built with a strong focus on low-latency communication and peer-to-peer interaction. Recent improvements include transitioning from session-wide signaling to peer-targeted relay, implementing server-validated peer identity, and optimizing cleanup of stale file and message states.

The platform also supports multi-format sharing within chat, including images, audio, and files, making it more than just a screen-sharing tool—it’s a lightweight collaboration environment.

This project reflects a deep focus on real-time systems, WebRTC communication, and user-first design simplicity.
